The Waldron Canyon Loop hike is not for everyone, it is a physically demanding hike that requires route finding ability and class III scrambling. However, at the end of the day, this hike is the best extreme day hike in the Grand Canyon. Those that are in good shape, don't mind exposure and are comfortable being well away from the masses should consider this hike. It is several steps up from any of the main trail hikes available below either Rim.
